(1)煤转化基础与应用:洁净煤技术与基础研究、煤固体热载体快速热解技术、煤焦油转化利用、半焦的利用;

(2)油页岩、油砂的清洁高效利用:油页岩/油砂热解制油、页岩油及页岩灰渣的转化利用;

(3)煤氧化制化学品:煤的碱氧氧化、煤的电化学氧化、矿源型腐殖酸的制备与性能调控

(4)废旧高分子材料加工处理:高分子热解行为、与煤共热解研究。

(5)煤基沥青和石油基沥青材料的结构、性能和应用:煤基沥青和石油基沥青高聚物改性、煤沥青和石油沥青共混与乳化、煤基沥青脱毒;

(6)催化转化技术:荒煤气的催化转化、焦油催化改质
