周黎安
1984年以全省文科前三名的优异成绩考入北京大学经济学院国际经济系。1988年和1991年分别获得北京大学经济学学士和硕士学位。
2002年获得美国斯坦福大学经济学博士学位，师从著名经济学家青木昌彦。

主要成就研究领域主要涉及政治经济学、产业组织、经济转型与发展。在American Economic Review, Review of Economics and Statistics, RAND Journal of Economics, Journal of Public Economics, Economic Journal, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Economic History, Strategic Management Journal等国内外一流经济学和管理学期刊发表论文60余篇，出版专著《转型中的地方政府：官员激励与治理》（第二版）（格致出版社和上海人民出版社）；在官员晋升激励与行为、政府治理、政治关联和大饥荒的长期影响等方面进行了开创性研究，在国内外学术界产生了广泛影响。[1]
