1981.9-1988.7在中山大学大气科学系念本科和硕士研究生，获理学硕士学位；
1988.7-1992.2在广西气象科学研究所从事科研工作；
1992年考取中国科学院大气物理研究所博士研究生，1994.11获博士学位；
1994.9至今，在中山大学大气科学系工作，现任副教授、硕士研究生导师。
其中，2002.1-2003.1加拿大Bedford海洋研究所访问学者，从事大西洋飓风期间海气交换过程的数值模拟研究。
主要研究方向主要从事热带气象学以及热带海气相互作用等方面的研究工作。
